While our Indian cricketers are exhibiting their top game in the capital city, it cannot be denied that our capital is also topping the charts when it comes to pollution. The national capital has been plagued with the problem of smog and pollution a problem in recent weeks. So bad was the situation in the recent past that it was a pollution emergency with toxic smog hanging over the city for more than a few days. Day 2 of the third and final Test match between India and Sri Lanka was witness to a unique and an unfortunate event at the Ferozeshah Kotla. The visiting Lankans brought out their masks as they were having a hard time dealing with the pollution and smog that engulfed the national capital. The unhappy Lankans made their point clear to both the on-field umpires Nigel Llong and Joel Wilson at several points when they forced the play to be stopped at regular intervals with complaints against the conditions.
